It is for real...I've seen it before. My dad and I used to have a parachute plane made by Six Chuter. I've been as high as 5,000 feet in mine. It's like riding a scooter with a kite strapped to it. It's just about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on (and clothes are optional ).

I think Curt could trim down his growing collection, and combine a couple of his hobbies.....

The guy that built and owns it lives near me in Warrenton, VA. In the summer I see him riding around on it quite a bit. Never seen it in the air though. I always see him having lunch outside at the Panera Bread with the cycle parked next to his table. Always has a big crowd around him asking questions.

That's kind of cool that it's one of your local folks. Maybe, you can make a let see that thing fly RALLY...and have him show off a little in front of the grounded scoots.

He always has pictures with him of it flying, but having looked at it pretty closely, it looks like it takes quite a bit of effort and room to get it in the air. Then after landing, you have to gather up the chute and reconvert to land use. I think he likes riding it around and showing the pictures of it flying, than having to actually fly it that much.
