Modern Vespa

My buddy Reeps built this for Matt Hensley.
With graphics and paint help from Jason Adams, striping from Nach and scooter parts from me.

Look for it backstage at Flogging Molly shows..






its an oldschool crate skate scooter build with modern skate parts and a primavera headset rescued from a crusty bike in santa cruz.
headlight works, its got mod mirrors and a cup holder.

Super badass and fun to push around. Reeps made another one for the Duane Peters benefit show.

Ha! been to Flogging Molly shows but never backstage. Do you know the band? Are they into Vespa's? What's the dealio with bringing that with them on the road?

this one has a beer holder.

and is made from old scooter parts.

The recipient is a scooterboy, skater, artist and member of a prominent Irish rock band, oh and bar owner in the southern california region.

It makes total sense.

gotcha. backstage messin about. it is a very interesting design.

not my cup of tea. id say how i felt about it and the nature of the character that requested it made i have to be nice on here.

irish punk is very gimmicky. so is gypsy punk.

When I got my first paycheck from my very first "real" job - making fries at Raging Waters (SJ) when I was 15 1/2 - the first thing I bought was an H Street Matt Hensley deck.

I never fail to enjoy myself at Molly shows Am I ever to fin myself backstage I'll peer around for this chimera. Pretty neat!

The skate was broken down in the bus. It was the last gig of the tour and Matt was bringing it home. It will be the next Innes ad.
