after months of calculations and trepidation I have finished what I think is the perfect combo for a p200 with all the attributes of more torque at the bottom end and more top end toiuring at 130 + is now not a question of reliabilty with the great cooling of a pinasco barrel
standard pinasco is around 14hp this is 15.5hp add a decent exhaust and longstroke crank 24t to 25 hp is there and reliable
the workshop can convert your pinasco for $250 aus plus postage
check out the photos you may be able to do it yourself ??

Yeah what's the deal? Port timing mods? Base height? Squish, etc

Inquiring minds want to know.

In regards to specs have not touched the squish in the head around 1mm
the timiming is based on the Malossi start point not as early as the polini and end obviiously with the pinasco timing I'll dig up the degrees in the next day for you its at the workshop, with a long stroke crank and a 26/26 si you will need a 135 main jet

The big news here is the iron sleeve, looks really nice.

I have an aluminum 177 with the same intent.

Did you cut the sleeve by hand?

Or is it? now I'm not sure

yeh we cut the hard chrome wall by hand the cutter is blunt after 2 ports
it doesnt change the actual opening and closing of the inlet port timing it only facillitates
a)better over boost like a lager boost port
b)flow is enhanced quite significantly as when you place the piston in postiion the new pinasco piston is not as good as the old one and actulally has smaller openings to accomodate the polini cylinder they share pistons unfortunatley

Someone help me get this...

Is this a Pinasco barrel you cut those demi-ports in? And it runs a Polini piston? Or did you sleeve the cylinder and re-cut? Any piston work?

I agree that even those small opening will help flow a lot. A year ago I did something very much like this(identical really) to a standard p200 barrel, small demi-ports and enlarged/flowed the transfers and boost, slightly altered timings. It added top end while sacrificing very little low end torque, and it gets amazing mpg..

Yes it is new pinasco 215 alloy /nickasil/hard chrome bore,
which has slightly larger ports to start with and the piston is the standard pinasco piston but note they have altered the piston ports slightly so that it can be used in a bored out polini barrel, but the compromise being smaller irregular boost port opening to suit a polini , this can be cut out and the side ports of the piston are slightly smaller again for polini .
you really have to clean up the piston Ill post later the 2 pinasco piston and the polini you will see where they have helped polini to the detrement of pinasco Nerd emoticon
also not the piston doesnt always feel right in the barrel check it first it may need some fine grit paper.
cheers

As you can see its the new Pinasco left old pinasco middle and polini on the right the ports are significantly different
comment please
