Hello all

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I bought myself a 2011 LX150ie last month (love it!!) and its just had its first service at 1,000kms (600 miles). When I went to pick it up from the dealer after its service, the mechanic said that I should have it serviced again at 2,500kms, yet the owner's manual says that its next service should be at 6,000kms. Who should I follow, the mechanic or the manual?

If I follow the mechanic, then its going to be serviced about every 6 weeks at the rate I'm going (although this could be stretched out as we are coming into winter and its getting chilly).

My last scooter was a Piaggio Fly 125 which I had to sell when I moved home to NZ from Sydney and the dealer/mechanic there was following the manual's service schedule without any undue problems.

What to do, what to do? Any advice appreciated.

Thanks!

Aloha and welcome to the forum. I would go by the manual. Doesn't have to be the exact mileage but close. Enjoy that new scooter of yours

Just checked my Vespa book (I have 2010 S125).

First service after 1000km
Then service at 6000, 12000, 18000, 24000 and so on.

With engine oil checked/topped up every 3000km & brake fluid changed every 2 years.

Thanks Judy & Wafflycat.

My manual says the same as your S125 wafflycat, service every 6000k and check oil every 3000k.
