Just realized there won't be a place for the plate after taking off the DOT tail light.
Do I just drill holes for the license plate or is there a part?

On european scoots there is a plate and spacers that they use to attach their license plates. They usually do not attach the plates directly to the body because dirt builds up, then rusts the body when it get wet.
I fabbed one for my Danish Rally 200 and GL, and for the US P200 from 1/8 aluminum plate, 6.5x6.5in. You can find nylon spacers at the hardware store. Here's some pics. I think the spacers were 3/8. You need enough room for the license plate bolts. |
