Way gorgeous!!
Thank you Of course, it wouldn't look anything like that lovely on me, but there's no riding jacket that would |

That looks pretty dang sharp. If they made one in brown, my credit card might be shaking in my pocket.
I already have an awesome black trench... just doesn't have armor under it. |

Looks good! Now being the practical type - how does it work while riding a scoot. Does the bottom of the coat flap around?

Just got Ms Delectable an XS (no pics yet: apologies, boys .. and girls).
Seems fine for Sydney winter rides (around 15 - 20C / 60 - 70F) with a light, turtle-neck wool jumper underneath - even with the vented back panel. Will need a polarfleece ( a slim one - it fits oh! so nicely .. ) if it gets much colder (rare for Sydney, but it does get chilly in the mountains). So far it has got rave reviews from other women riders - so streets-ahead in style and fit (oh, and Ms Delectable definitely has a model figure, even if slighty shorter: 5'2" / 90lbs in US money - 155cm / 40kgs here). It's so slimming that it makes the Tempeste (my previous benchmark) look bulky. Like all style jackets, it won't be completely rain-proof given the neck closure .. but we scoot mostly in dry to damp weather (not in howling storms) and my similar Postale neck is fine for 20mins in moderate showers. We'll still keep rainsuits in the scoot. Probably too hot for our summers, so I'm eyeing a mesh Go-Go Gear Cafe jacket (a lovely flared A-line, oh, my!) ... on Ms Delectable, it'll be hard to concentrate on the road, winter or summer! ... these jackets are so much less expensive than all-weather touring gear that it's not hard to buy two (and they save the expensive bike gear for long tours that need 100% weaherproofing). And the "look" is worth it, especially compared to all-weather touring gear! |
