Thanks to this thread I ended up buying a gently used Corsa Racing Seat from adastra to replace my original single saddle. It's the smallie version, but fits onto a large frame with included bracket (the big size is evidently too big for Supers and VBBs).
Best purchase I have my for my scoot EVER. That's "E-V-A-H!" beating outs loads of other goodies that have all been very good improvements in their own right. It totally transforms the ride. Not only is the riding position way better (further back allows for more of a crouch), but I can actually FEEL where the back end is planted and the handling comes to life. The centre of gravity is a little lower, obviously a bonus, but the seat also requires a different part of the body to turn in -- it used to be sort of the upper inner legs against the saddle (like when you're riding hands-free on a bicycle) and now it's a hip thing, and much, much easier to lower a knee. It's not just being less upright and lower, but feeling like my ass is actually part of the machine. Before I guess it was a floaty feeling, way up high with lots of spring/coil movement separate from the frame itself, whereas now the feels is low and rock solid. I can't even begin to describe it... even the handlebars feel different and more responsive -- the rake/caster angle hasn't changed but now it's more about control through shoulders and less about elbows. In a nutshell: less knees and elbows, more hips and shoulders for a full body experience. I've carved some of the best turns in three years over last night and today with no trepidation whatsoever -- it just felt _solid_. I can't believe what I was missing. F(#$(ing awesome!!! Thanks for starting this thread, JimH, I never would have even thought about buying such a seat if I hadn't seen it here for a bargain. And thanks, adastra, for sorting through the shipping hassles. You folks rock!! |

Hey there everyone,
in going through my garage I found these, up for grabs, I'm sure shipping wouldn't be a big expense either. A gasket rebuild kit and a 1/4 splined kickstart. PM me and we'll make it happen.

Sort of a bump...
I've still got a complete 100 Sport Headset, primed and in perfect condition. Also a banged up set of turn signals. Far from perfect but some good parts there if your set is almost there. A slightly bent smallframe fork(I don't know, maybe you have some custom idea for it). Also a repro smallie taillight in chromed plastic, perfect in the box. Also a never used p200 battery. Not free generally but cheap and I'm all about trades. Looking for: smallie taillights(et3 style or something interesting in metal), 4spd gearbox although I might have one on the way. 10" smallie rear hub. Aaannnndddd tons of other stuff so if you want something offer me a trade. Cheers |

Rubber Bits.
I need a center channel mat and a kick starter rubber, the ones I got from "wherever" are already starting to dry rot, crack and fall apart after only a year.
If anyone has a line on a good used one or even better new old stock. let me know. |

NO you have a spare rim. No tire. I didnt have a spare tire. Hope you have access to a bead blaster. That rim came off a neglected P200 and needs serious cleaning before you paint it.

Well you got a lot of cleaning and such to do before you paint. That rim had a lot of years of leaking oil tank onto it before I got it.

After having the scoot dropped three times this year (twice when warming up on the stand, and once when someone at work was trying to do me a favour and getting it out of a secured area) I am seriously thinking about getting a kickstand.
The problem was that I have converted to 10" wheels a while back but never changed the centrestand; it needs a small 2x4 under one side to keep the scoot level. Otherwise it leans over and the centre stand can pop up if it's not on a particularly suitable piece of ground. Anyone have a single kickstand to sell? I'd like to mount it on the left side and hopefully it's the type where there's a bracket that fits the original mounting points on both sides of the channel. Thanks! |

Seat and rack
I have an Italian Flag, Super Corsa Seat and a rack. I took them both off because they are really for a P200 and not a rally. I got a great original rally seat from another MVer. So now it's my turn to pass it along.

I have a Blue Badge [mickeymouse] tail light . Would trade for original ,as in Siem switch plate and cover for a 64 allstate . Must be in good condition being that you are getting the better end of the deal. P.S. also comes with original reflectors. P.S.S. Would also trade for something in the mod -ulma type stuff.

Piaggio Selctor Box
I'm looking for an OEM selector box for my 1980 P200.
I've tried a couple of others (FA, and some unknown box stamped MSP on arm) and neither works as well as my OEM box, before the arm broke off) The one I have that works has the hole for a neutral switch. If anyone has an extra box or even just an arm that will fit, please PM me. I'm trying to get back on the road before Amerivespa on June 17th. Cheers Stephen |
