I take a day off, where I don't visit, and when I come back...a new logo. Jess, don't tell me you got a C&D. For all you do to help promote the brand, it seems petty. I guess those patches really are collectors items now. I should have gotten a bunch more to put on ebay.

Of corse if I'm wrong on anything I've said, I apologize in advance .

No C&D. Just a marquee change. No big deal.

No, really - as Jon mentioned, was it a cease & desist?

Had to clear my cache to figure out what the hell you guys were talking about. Duh.

Does this affect the new patch in any way?

Here it is, for everyone whose browser is still holding on to the old one. I think this will probably change slightly in the near future, I'm still not 100% happy with it.

You can force Microsoft Internet Explorer to reload the image from the server by holding down the shift key and clicking the "Refresh" button. Your locally cached image will be ignored.

suggestion
IMHO, The font for Vespa is a little too weak/thin in both logos you have tried out. I'd suggest you try something more like the bold & thick serif face on this badge:

http://www.scomo.net/product_info.php/cPath/50_196_277/products_id/4446

or not... design by committee isn't always the best course of action

This latest version (2b?) is looking quite good. Much more cohesive, and the adjustment to the scale of the 'M' made a big difference. If anything, perhaps the drop shadow behind 'VESPA' has a little too much Distance and Spread (if you're using Photoshop), making it appear a little 'blurred'. The italicized 'VESPA' adds a lot of movement-quite appropriate. Nicely done.

FWIW, anyway. Like they say, opinions are like @$$h les. Everyone's got one-especially this graphics nerd, your's truly.
Nice.
Nice.

Thanks for the feedback, all. As for font selection, all I can say is that I can't please everyone simultaneously, much as I wish I could.

For the graphics nerds, v2.2 just went live.
