Yet another nice video Frank. You do not need to tilt the scooter to install the variator and rollers. The variator, back plate, gudgeon pin and rollers should all be installed as one item. I'm not sure why you didn't take the back plate off. These tend to get a bit sticky, but with a bit of wiggling always come off.
