Excellent, but would they wax it if you left it outside the door?

I've pondered a few extended trips this summer and have some concerns about leaving the scooter outside a motel room. How many of you have taken the scoot inside vs. leaving it outside?

My alternative is to camp at campgrounds with my little tent and tie the scooter to my ankle.....

motel room
Last summer, for a quick weekend getaway, my girlfriend and I would drive my GT200 from Brooklyn up to the Hudson River Valley. We'd leave around 9 pm on Friday night to avoid the usual weekend traffic and drive on dark, twisty county roads for several hours. When we got tired, we'd find a cheap, roadside motel. Then we'd get up Saturday morning, have breakfast in the nearest town we could find, and head back to the city using an alternate scenic route.

Did this a couple of times. Left the scooter outside the motel without incident. It wasn't parked for long, maybe 1 am to 9 am. These motels were pretty remote, so there wasn't a lot of traffic or people nearby.

Looking forward to more of those trips this summer.
