I had a Vespa mechanic friend of mine tell me the other day that he had heard that the new Vespa PX150s weren't going to be imported into the US anymore...is that going to be the case?

Yep they were only going to make a limited number of them. It's all about our dear friends at the EPA.

Neal (or anyone else)- I guess this means that Stella (and others) as we know them will also be on the chopping block? Do you know when they are going to stop producing/importing?

Thanks,

Chuck

Word on the street is that Stella / Genuine Scooters managed to get a CARB certificate for 2006 through (I think) 2012, and thus will be selling two-stroke scooters in California for the foreseeable future. So no, I don't think Stella is on the chopping block.

originally the PX was supposed to be killed 2 years after the ET came out.

so , 1998. 8 years later and we have 'em new in our showroom still.
