I know it's too cold to ride in a lot of places right now, but it's never too cold to dress up your scooter in a new scooter seat cover. For a limited time, you can get a $5 refund when you buy a matching back rest cover with a scooter seat cover. (I don't sell LX back rests, but ramrezz425 does).

I don't have a pattern for a GT/GTS backrest (yet!) because I haven't been able to get one so that I can make a pattern. But I haven't given up! Since they come with the top case rather than separately (like the LX or GIVI top case backrests), they are more difficult to find... let me know if you see one on ebay or want to get rid of one!
