I live no-where near cali so none of the bartering makes a difference to me .I will say that if there were more dealers in Ma. and they posted speacial promos Id welcome it .I need a good deal.None of the dealers near me come on here and none have speacial deals so you cali people seem lucky to have dealers that will fight for business.

I remember reading in the GS issue of American Scooterist about the British dealers who painted factory scoots (sorry Scooterbobby, in 2-tone) and how those scoots became much sought-after alternatives to the stock colors. Many of us know of the quality of Curt's yellow GTS that scooterbobby painted. Who's to say these GT's won't be collectors items in a few years. If I had the $$$ I'd snatch one up and have it done in British Racing Green!

Btw, Curt, I gave my spare coming-out patch to my 10 year old tonight to put on her homemade pocktetbook. She thought it was so cool!

Paint jobs are quite expensive if they are done in a quality manner. Just to get my topcase painted Dragon Red is going to cost me $290 CAD. I can't imagine having the whole scooter done for anything less than at least $1000.

Considering that it is almost impossible to get any scooter below MSRP, especially Piaggio group scooters, that kind of deal is great (even if you aren't stuck on the fence because of color).
