after 2 month stealing time between work, riding to mountain and attending vespa event m smallie project finally complete

i started the project with a smallie frame that i bought for $30, the frame come with gas tank and a fork but unfortunely it didnt come with a front dum brake so i have to make an adjustment as the drum itself were pricey along side with the smallie engine and their maintenance parts

External inline image provided by member with no explanatory text
this is how the frame after i strip it down to the metal

since the frame have a rusty hole so i weld it down

External inline image provided by member with no explanatory text

after welding complete i began to put the p series fork that i costomize to be lower 5cm so it dont look to high in front, i also find a candidate for the engine as well, and yesits a largeframe 150cc engine as this engine were cheap in maintainence Razz emoticon

meanwhile i also constomize the handlebar using a Indo Sprint/super trap headset by cutting it 4cm in each side (called me sick but smallie headset way off my budget)

after a while i manage to put the engine under the frame with a lil cutting in the frame since the engine itself were over expose by 3 cm

External inline image provided by member with no explanatory text

and i do make the engine cover and the horncast although it look silly enough

and finally this morning i put a epoxy in it and ride it to office

here is my not so normal smallie

Well Done Koenig
Good job Koenig,
You could get a job as a restorer/mechanic in Cuba anyday. You are willing to do whatever needs to be done on a limited budget to get a bike back on the road. Awesome dude.

All the best,
Sir Paul.

"We" (being most of the vintage snobs and purists) tend to get mad when people go haywire (an american expression meaning crazy) when restoring a scooter. But most of us won't touch a frame with a rust hole in it, unless it's rare or something. I don't think what you did would offend even the most anal of the vintage enthusiasts, since you made this out of parts that are

1. readily abundant
2. beyond normal repair.

i'm going to make you an avatar.....

great work. I'd ride that thing any day. and I'm betting that a largeframe motor in a smallie body could be fast as hell.

Nice work Ebeth.

The pros and cons of a lframe motor in a sframe are even.

I rode one and it was 'right' heavy. A little noticable on turns, no biggy.

The best part is you don't have to fuck with the carb down in tunnel hell.

i know u guys are rock

wanna know the fact about me, i never ride a smallframe before so i dont know the feel of a normal smallie Razz emoticon maybe i will ride some day with V oodoo and u guys

the bike is indeed fast enough and i like when people in left side of the road turn their head when they see a smallie with a loud exhaust as in my place only few smallie were fast and loud enough while people in the right side of the road give me a big mgreen face seeing my lf engine pop out of the sframe..

one think i feel these 2 days, the bike isnt tend to the right Jimmy but in fact it always pointing up every time i open the throttle too big its distrubing me a bit as i am not familiar ridin with rear wheel only.. now i need to ride it a bit gently i guess

will saving money to buy a yellow paint now and add a few thing to make it look nicer so people in my place wont said a bad thing about my smallie

have a nice weekend guys, best wishes for you all
cheer...

Love it Ebeth!

Have a question for you. If you pull the pin on the lower shock will the motor tilt all the way down so you can get to the carb? If so, I like the conversion.
