insured the 'new un' washed destickered it ... adjusted the brakes .. filled it up n went out for a spin .... how i missed that low riding position n ripping the gears ....... tis good to be back ...... like the seat too.. arse back

today I.......

wet sanded the primer sealer and prepped it for the first coat of orange paint.

. . . looked longingly at my poor drenched beauty as I drove by her on my way to work in my cage in the rain. Just not up to sampling the abundant wet leaves scattered across the roads.

Today I rolled over to 10,000 miles!

Today I filled it up as I was running on empty as I used all my fuel riding back from the mablephorpe end of season rally...

worked on my auto so didn't have time to wash and polish my vespa.
The front brake had been slightly binding so I pumped a piston out, took the dust seal out and scraped the nick it sits in. It's sorted now.Next Tuesday I get a new front tyre and an MOT test.
I rode the Vespa on Sunday, though, just for riding's sake.
Bitsa..........a few of us from Chorley (6 so far) are talking about doing the Yorkshire Scooter Alliance "Allied Invasion" to Rotterdam in June. Have you done it in the past?

Wrung out my gloves, which were still full of water from riding home last night in a monsoon!

I also ordered up jets for my new 226 Hot Wing, and registered for the Scooter Cannonball!

Today I smashed my finger putting my gas tank back in after replacing my sight glass.

I drained and pulled tank from VNB, ordered new FF fuel tap.

Today I rode a 68 sf to find my 9 year son... he was just down the street outside with friends. I did not feel like walking the block..I am day three of a nasty virus..

... flunked my emissions test for the 8th TIME!!!!

today i was,

-this morning i changeing the fork of my not so normal smallie from the orginal fork that i force to accept the rear drum ( i still unable to buy the proper front drum so i use the rear that a friend gave to me) after i grind it to fit the front fork but the result is the drumis still way to left and not center so i swap back to the px fork

-changeing my not so normal smallie gas tank lever pin as the old one were gave up

-swap the licensed plate from my not so normal smallie to my miss sunshine

-went to office riding miss sunshine (yellow sprint v) about 2km from office i lost my rear brake due to the rear drum seal were broken and my brake shoes all juicy luckly i still have a nice front brake so tonight i will be replacing the seal

Tried to sand down my old main bearing to use it as a seal punch

Gave up on it and ordered the $12 punch

rode to work on the 'new un' .... tis not as quick as the bitza but really need to twat it ... the hill i climbed at 65 and shot out of at 70+ is the true test but i got cut up by some dick in a bloody kia car......

got home to find the auto hire shite had been picked up n bitza was sat in the yard looking sorry for itsen ......... squeezed em both into the shed then went for a shower

naa never done it ... dont really bother wi rallys but do the odd show n ride out .... i take me lid off n they all wonder why a biker is riding a vespa ......... got that look when i went to the ysa final frontier to buy the 'new un'

......ordered an electronic ignition kit from Beedspeed for the smallie.

Tidied out the garage....making room for my latest scoot....

Fixed 2 broken wires, fixed a grounding post, replaced a sheared flywheel woodruff key, re-checked the wiring at the ignition switch, tried a different ignition coil, and still didn't get a spark.

...hauled tacos and a Mexican coke in my toolbox.

....realized it's currently too freaking cold to ride.

(okay, last night I,) Changed out the rear shock so I could still ride my scoot while I rebuild the original dampers.

Today I removed the forks from my px, which then fell off the stand on to my Lammy , then realised i cant refit the speedo oil seal into the hub back plate doh..

Okay, I'll bite. Does the Mexican coke taste better than the local offerings? Sorta like the locals say the small bottle cokes taste better than all others and are somehow different?

I have lived dangerously. Against advice, I have eaten from Mexican street vendors and lived, still do, and found whatever the ingredients, delicious stuff.

mexican coke uses cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.

Today I rode to work like always, but i wore my winter gear for the first time. brrr. 36degrees

I've been told that switching from cane sugar to corn syrup was part of coke's new recipe back in the 80s. The "classic coke" never went back to cane sugar in the U.S. I can definitely tell a difference.

Most of the taquerias around here and a few grocery stores sell cokes imported from Mexico.

I'm jealous as hell. So beautiful. I was in Sonoma about a year ago.
