Designed a clutch spanner for the benelli I'm working on. realized it would cost less to design and have it printed in stainless than to cut one out of a socket or pipe.

Damn it B. Sorry you feel like shit!

I just came back from camping at the beach yesterday and the first thing I did was to hop on the scoot. As I was riding, some ass hat decided to pull an illegal you turn while my arrowed stop light was green. And of course I was booking through the corner. I was inches from hitting a big ford 150. I yelled "what the fuck!" And his response: " I didn't see the no U turn sign!".
I don't get it. He's already turned and can't see the sign now, unless he looked in his side view mirror which I highly doubt. So he saw it, ignored it, and I was inches away from pain.

What process are you planning to use to have the part made?

Shapeways has a "stainless" material that is stainless steel powder with a brass binder. Should be strong enough for this application.

Shapeways .
That's what I figured. Have you used them before? What is the surface finish like? Does it hs up to secondary operations, like milling?

Fixed a sticking choke cable
So I just got a 2005 PX150 w/700 miles a few weeks back. This is my first 2-stroke in a long, long time. I had a bull taco in the early 80's but didn't know or understand much about 2t's.

So last week I washed and waxed her, reconnected the autolube, changed the gear oil, and replaced and lubed the clutch cable. The PO had fixed the autolube glass but had been running premix because that was what he was comfortable with.

The bike has been running a bit rough at 1/4 throttle, so was thinking that ethanol and sitting has gummed it up a bit, which means carb cleaning.

So today I... started to clean the carb, but first the choke cable. Lo-and-behold, the cable isn't letting the choke shut completely off. I tri-flowed the cable and got it working properly, so now the pin for the choke shuts off completely! Then replaced the gasket (that was nonexistent) on the fuel nipple. And blasted out the jets and float & pin with carb cleaner.

Put her back together and started it up - it starts to warm, then the idle starts to climb, and climb, and climb. So I adjusted the idle screw and now she purrs. I revved a few times for good measure and no hesitation, roughness, nothing! YESYESYESYES!!!!!

It's raining at the moment or I'd run her out under load and see how she does. It had to be sucking air. Could this also be why when the fuel tap is left on overnight it'll leak some fuel on the ground?

I wonder if it would be polishable. I need to give them a shot for work purposes. Can't beat that price, by a long shot.

Today the center stand spring on my P2 broke 5 miles from my house at speed. it damned near caused a spill. ratchet strapped it up, went home and installed a spring from an LML hardware kit I had. Suprised the new spring is like half the thickness of the original.

Noticed something out of place. I have the corsa low-profile seat, and the rear screw on the largeframe conversion plate had vibrated loose from the bolt inside. The seat pin bolt inside my scoot's frame has been detached since I have owned it. Had to take out the gas tank and whatnot to find the bolt and tighten back up the screw. Went for a ride to the local ice cream shop that holds a classic car show every Thursday. Missed most the cars. At least I got a chocolate shake out of the ride. Plan to do a lot of riding tomorrow. Stay away rain! I need to make a new youtube video ASAP.

Everyone remember to tell Vader "Happy Father's Day".
