I did my first power slide in traffic today. Idiot pulled right out in front of me from a cross street, saw me and slammed on her brakes. My reflex was to slam the foot brake, which I did, and it sent my rear wheel skidding around the right side of me, I leaned it over to the left and put my foot down to keep from dumping it. Yikes.

Apps a plenty!
Downloaded some Vespa Apps.. a couple are goofy but still kinda fun..

One of 'em called "Vespa VMP" is pretty complicated and I think, by the looks of it, it's for Moderns, but it looks like it may monitor your battery, Torque (would be cool), power etc... I have no idea how to use it, the instructions look like a PITA to read on the phone, but I'll have a gander! Razz emoticon

"Vespa Book" we've seen here... shows all the models, years etc.. with nice little pic of each..

"Frame Numbers" Same as Scooterhelp, but right in one Easy App! (good for a QUICK serial number search on the go!

and of course "Mixomatic" Razz emoticon just put in how much gas you're going to put in your tank.. the Percentage of mix you want.. and Boom! it'll tell you exactly how much oil to drop in!

A skosh on the geeky side, but pretty cool noneless!

Just read the release notes for the update of Vespabook app, and it looks like they are starting to add Vespa and Max Meyer color codes.

Found out how soft the metal is that Piaggio Oil Taps are made out of.

Sheered my brand new one when tightening it into the Rally tank. Luckily I still had my old one kickin' around which was in great shape. Popped it in and finished refurbing my old p2 oil tank onto the rally tank.

yeah i saw that... you have to buy the "utility" for a buck 99 but if it's got a comprehensive list of paint codes and swatches that could be cool..

That sucks. I think I saw on here once, someone who used magnetic bolts to fix that problem. Or maybe it had something to do with collecting metal shavings in their gear oil. Not sure, so I brought the idea to your attention.

With record temps in Northwest WA I kept the scoots parked. If I cannot comfortably ride in all my gear its too hot. Looks like temps will be dropping a tad bit and so I should be hitting the streets on two wheels again. Saw way too much exposed skin today on two wheeled motor vehicles. It makes me very nervous.

Saw a guy on a modern riding with his feet hanging 2' ft. from the street. Can't wait till he has to swerve and his feet get destroyed as they drag him and the bike down. Also saw a dude on a Ruckus flying down the avenue while texting. To day is official shitty scoter riding day.

I remember being shocked when I was in the state's by the amount of people wearing fuck all on motorbikes. But I come from a country that rains most days so I think it just went against my programing. There is a huge all the gear culture over here, but I think if we had better weather we would see less of it

It's holding for now. Hopefully I'm wrong, but it was almost tight then I gave it another turn and if felt looser... maybe it was just the felt washer crushing... hopefully. I didn't try any more after that.

I did the same thing with my p series. I just helicoiled it and that fixed it. Just another pain in the ass.

Yeah the magnetic oil screws are for collecting shavings. I use those too.

Jackson....really tempted to dail 999 to see who would come out. Thanks for posting that! I never heard of Man Stroke Woman and was glued to my phone watching a bunch of them while i was sick! Its a super fun and smooth park. Its literally on the beach so you have to contend with sand and slipage.

It would help if I had my helmet on too.

I learned today you should not ride with a pair of broken ribs. What's with this forum? Ya'll are bad luck. Broke two previously broken ribs when my 18 month old daughter decided to play Bounce-On-Daddy's-Chest.

Well, we didn't actually shoot this today. However, the commercial went national today. As with all of these things, a whole day's worth of shooting only amounts to a couple seconds of actual screen time. ... Oh, but this week we did sell the restored 1956 Allstate featured in the ad!
