Came off the ET4. Pulled to the side of the road to adjust something, there was loads of gravel and loose dust, front wheel just slipped out front under me and the bike went sideways, wasn't going more than 5-6 mph but enough to lose control.

Theres some scuffs to some of the plastic on one side, nothing that I can't fix though tbh, but my pride is hurt if anything.
Shit man, pride hurting is the worst! And that lovely plum. Wahst the marks like?

when I said where have all your posts gone. Didnt you have about 1000??
No idea mate, havent been watching my post count.

Will need some spraying on one side near where your feet rest, nothing I can't do myself but still a pain. Very annoying.

It doesn't sound too bad then buddy although a pain in the ass nonetheless. Bet you still shook up. I nearly came off on tuesday morning. Road's were greasy, had to stop suddenly for some pranker late for work no doubt and was all over the road. For some strange reason only known to me, I only wacked the back brakes. My back end shot out to the left then right but I just managed to control him and stay on!

Hope the skies clear for ya, Mr Bitsa! Good weather here yesterday, road tested the GL I've been hiding & made that old girl earn her keep. Don't wanna drive wife's car again - bad luck .

She took TWO stacked tires(one mounted on rim) to local mom & pop tire shop to get good one mounted & balanced.
Tire guy was laughing and called his kid to come out & see my setup, then offered me a smoke. Razz emoticon

Took pics when I got back & was only one (car)tire on her by then.
Wonder if any cars behind me were admiring my 'spare'

Today...
...I loaded a crate into the back of a semi-truck and sent it on it's way to San Diego.
Took me 3 hours to build the thing so that my smallie would fit in it, then I had to break it down into flat sections to go on the truck, taking up as little space as possible.(its travelling at no charge).
Hopefully, I will make it to San Diego and then all I have to do is, rebuild the crate, load the vespa in it,pack my Cannonball supplies in the spaces, seal up the crate, and go catch a plane ride back east.
My work schedule does not allow the time to ride back across the country.

Sir Paul

Tupper-cam
I couldn't wait for the mount I bought from GoPro so I "borrowed" a tupperware dish from the wife, a couple zip ties and a nail to "mount" the cam on a backpack
Oh we'll it'll work till I get the proper mount. (man they lag)

What little orange tupperware bowl ? Razz emoticon

If I need to scavenge some gas from a crashed semi-truck, like the road warrior I'll be be all set.

Took delivery of three Michelin S1's, three SIP Black Rims and three Michelin Innertubes.

All to go onto the GT160.

What I'm amazed at though, is that it took 4 days to deliver from Germany, it's a 15kg package and only cost £4.20 in postage.

Very efficient postage and very cheap. Quite impressed.

Wow...

What are the costs like out there for living? I mean, if it costs $40 for rent then ok it's all relative and makes sense.

Is that the average wage for someone in your profession?

I went out for dinner the other night and spent more than $100 on food and wine. :S

(This isn't meant to be rude btw, im genuinely curious as to what the living costs and salaries etc are)

the proper salary for my profession since i am a law scholar is around $250 but my boss is a dictator so u get the picture Crying or Very sad emoticon

I remember being in Indonesia and was astonished at how low the pay for the local teachers was. They stay alive by being tight with family. I don't know what it is like now. I live in Thailand, and the local Thai school teachers here moan about their low pay, but it's about double what an Indo teacher makes.
