"Jessica", starring Angie Dickinson and Maurice Chevalier. It's from 1962, part American, part Italian. Lots of incredible scenery, good story, and of course, a vespa! Let me know if you can think of a more scooterish movie (other than Quadrophenia)

Looked on Scooter Lounges "Den of Vespas" and found a nice picture of Angie on the Vespa but I can't seem to copy a link. Can anyone help? An "expert" will surely get a positive ID from the picture. She never looked that good in "Police Woman"

Based on the color that is either a VBA or VBB1. The cowls do not sit up high enough to be a GS.

Here is a nice period ad.

This picture shows Angie's rear and the scooters.

Surely a round rump is a VBA but the picture is cut off at the bottom so can you tell?

Believe it or not, it really is a good movie. We actually used the image from one of the original movie posters as the basis for our original company logo.

It is a VBA, by the way. You can tell by the tail light, which is slightly smaller than the VBB one and a different shape than the VB1 type, not to mention the VB1 being a different frame all together.

A very short cameo of a scooter "gang" is shown in "Repo Man"
Not actually a Vespa movie, but the 1981 French film "Diva" features an athletic chase on a Malaguti moped (sorry folks). Don't try this at home kids:

"Jessica" sounds like a film worth watching ...

but as it doesn't appear to be available on DVD, what's the chances of actually getting to see it?

Cazshie,

try www.letmewatchthis.com/watch-movies

They want you to sign up but you can trial a movie without. I think it's free whatever.

I watched Quadrophenia recently on a similar free site.

I just type the name of the movie followed by free download into Google and you can get loads of free movies.

Andrew.

I have just clicked the link from my last post and typed jessica into the search box right at the top (without a capital j). You then get movies coming up and Jessica(1962) is the bottom right most in the recently or was it just added listing. It'd defo. there!

So it is .. D'Oh!
It was the Independance Day bit that threw me.

Was looking for Credit Card details when I clicked on it though, and never keen on giving that sort of info out.

It is available on DVD for you guys. Region 2, PAL, no use to most of us over here though, unless you have a multi-region player and a PAL monitor like myself. Before I started a scooter shop I worked in DVD Authoring for ten years.
