I did not know that the rivers were named for the "Front" and the "Rear". I always thought their names means "prosperity" and "fortune". That's really great info!
You are right about the roads! I made several trips after this report. The highway that I used to travel from TPHCM to Dong Thap was bigger. They added an extra lane on each side. But I also noticed that the cars and big trucks were going much faster, which is a little scary!
I hope to go back there sometime next year!
I'm from Vietnam too. As robocopvn said, nowaday all biker must wear helmet on the street and it's easier to ride now. It's more than 1 month to Lunar New Year 2012, will you come back Vietnam?
