Modern Vespa

Does anyone have one of these new trailers? I think a Vespa and this Airstream would make a lovely couple. I don't have a car so I'll keep dreaming for now.

i looked at the website for these last night, and they look cool, but MAN, are they pricey! $22 large for just the base, and then lots more to add all the options you'd want. Maybe in 5 yrs when people start selling theirs.

I wouldn't mind one with a bed and a loo to get my Vespa out of a storms's path next time. But at those prices i could get a few spare vespas anyway, after mine gets flooded.

It's a beautiful thing, and would haul a scooter nicely. But it is an Airstream... stylish, unique and pricey. Kinda like a Vespa.

The appeal is good looks and small size for towing with a light duty vehicle. The price is rediculous even if it is a Airstream.

and carry 3 or 4 scooters, sleep in comfort, take a shower, enjoy a cold one or 10 out of the fridge and have a BBQ steak for dinner with 4 of your friends and then take a nice hot shower before bed.

NAPA what's the saying possesion is 9/10 of the law. Go camp out in it It does go well with the vespa. Not only does it cost alot but then what would you get to PULL it. There goes your money

I saw one of those at the Airstream dealer in Los Banos coming home from a weekend in Yosemite.

We have a Airstream dealer about a mile from us and I have often dreamed about the combination of the nations favorite trailers with the world's favorite scooter. Great post and I love the photos.

funny you should say that my neighbor bought his @ Los Banos

its pretty damn cool but a little pricey for what you get
(take a look at the dumb velcro strips to hold up the skylight sunshade)

on the other hand 2 GTS's would fit perfect

i seriously contemplated selling my house last year, putting my belongings in storage, and buying an airstream and just drive around with my dog and scoots in the back of my truck.

my other option is to find a nice used 19' bambi international, gut it, and make it my guesthouse out back.

i *heart* airstreams.

For years I've coveted a mid-60's 24' twin axle Overlander. Just big enough to full-time in, and light enough I could pull it with my VR6 Eurovan...

A friend of mine bought a used Airstream thats about 30' long. It was a rental previously. Hes gutting it and restoring it completely. I guess its a passion because it sure doesn't make any sense.
Then again, Im thinking about dropping more coin on a Vespa 250cc scooter when I could have a 500cc Kymco for less money.

Ah wanderlust. I had that exact same thought last weekend. Only my dog is robotic fish.

i've also tried to figure out a way to tow this with my pink stella/sidecar combo with no luck:

My Grandparents traveled for a few years with Wally Byam's Caravan. I remember the childhood thrill of seeing all those shiny Airstream's pulling in to town and parking on the high school field. Every time they came to town, as if by magic, there would be little souvenirs from distant places pulled from some hidden cubby hole for my brother and I. I have a very soft spot for Airstream's.
