Modern Vespa

Due to a bizarre self inflicted "bowling injury" last night...Managed to WHACK myself in the leg with the ball just I was about to launch it down for a strike.Seemed fine last night,then when I got up this morning,my leg gave way,and I ended up in a heap on the floor.I can just about put my weight on it now...

on a related note, i have sustained an injury while playing cricket; thus i am unable to ride to the all you can drink bloody-mary bar tomorrow. you english and your crazy "sports". oh drat!

Are you sure we weren't seperated at birth, Ian? Once I was so hungry I put a piece of fried chicken in the microwave to reheat it. As soon as the timer went off I took a bite out of it and it exploded on my face! I had a fat lip for a week afterward. Dumb luck or dumb ass, you decide....

So I was with a bunch of the boys at a beefsteak one night shooting flaming Zambucas. Around the fifth one I thought I had blown out the flame. Melted my mustache and welded my lip.

I hate when that happens. Glad I didn't have my beard then.

BTW, Bowling hint (since I was born in Milwaukee I can offer these): Bowlers, on average, score 10 pins higher per game after 2 beers. Try it and see!

Whilst working as a Barman in a Sheabeen , here in the USA, March 17th always presented a problem for those kind folks who would strut up to the bar, tell us how Irish they were and order a Black&Tan. We never served a Black&Tan due to a nasty part of Irish history, but we would serve them a 1/2 & 1/2. But make them swear that they would call their mother and tell her:
"Pog Ma Thon"

If I told my mum that she'd K-I-C-K mine! The Tans were a rough bunch. It also baffles me how the Black Watch tartan shows up on many so called "Irish" clothing items sold here in the USA. Another rough bunch with a history.
