Dam Bastard
Yea the Bastards are leaving for Napa soon.

We have some crazy guy that's never rode a Vespa so stay away from the Bastard riding in the back of the pack. You really don't want to meet him by accident. He will have the Scooter with the Big get out of my way STAR on the side.....

It was an awesome ride with great weather!

I just got back from riding with Ruben down through Vallejo to highway 80. What a fun day. Can't wait for Rides of March next weekend.

Thanks for everyone's help today. And for everyone that travelled from out of town to ride with us.

Great ride, great weather, great people. I was really impressed at how organized everything was, and John and the team led and blocked like pros. Viva la Napa!

Bastard Down~
Bastard Down! Bastard Down....

Hey thanks Jim, Kirsten, Curt, Tom, for coming to the aid of the fallen Bastard. He is a little sore but happy that he was only on a Baron Scooter.
His first ride and first ditch. I am sure his wife the CHP officer will be happy to hear that her husband has a scooter repair bill. We estimate the dammage to be around $200.00 yea it's a total..

His new nick name is Mud Surfer... That was one long painfull slide.

The clean up riders from Napa "Jed & Matt" you guys did a great job.
Thanks~

I'm glad he's OK. Mud Surfer if an awesome nick name. I'm glad to have been able to help keep the group together and safe.

Nice to have met you Lucky and Mud Surfer. You Bastards seem like a really great bunch.

Damn, sorry I missed it guys, my son got pinkeye this weekend so there was no way I could make it. Plus I would have been on the Triumph, and it looked like all scooters... I wouldn't want to get beat up. Razz emoticon

No worries Chris. Hopefully we'll be seeing you in a few weeks at Scootouring. And the Triumph is always welcome, 'cuz it's so damn cool. 8)

That's including the ride miles.

I did Cannonball on an ET4. Doing 260 miles on a GTS is not too bad, not bad at all.

Now that mileage makes more sense.

It's my turn next weekend to rack up the miles heading down to Rides of March, but the wife and I are driving and I'm gonna pilot Curt's Sidecar rig, or one of his other bikes.

Thats so funny. Yea we will be giving him so much crap the entire rest of his life..... Yea that may not be too long if he dosent get some safety gear and a safer Scooter. Those Baron scooter are way to dangerious to own...

He's fine, the kid never gets sick and never complains at all. We didn't even know he had it until we noticed how red his eye was. At first we thought he poked it, but a day and a half later it was still red so he got to go to the docter.

Another thanks to NVSC.

Spalding Grey used to describe Perfect Moments in his monologues.

There were a bunch on that Sunday ride!

(Well, excepting the poor Bastard's less-than-perfect mud surfing moment)

What everyone else said. It was great meeting so many new people, especially the folks from Sacto. This ride definitely challenged my riding skills! More, please!

Total mileage for me that day was 180. My enormous thighs are still sore from grabbing the seat while on the 101.

That one longish hill climb after lunch has convinced me that I need some performance upgrades. At one point I was huffing and puffing, doing 30 at full throttle, and I half expected Lance Armstrong to pass me. Crying or Very sad emoticon Please PM me with recommendations!

Cindy, you did great. We pretty much threw our most challenging roads at you and you handled them like a pro.

Ya, that long uphill after lunch (Oakville Grade) will show you what your scooter is made of. My old Vino 125 would slow down to about 25mph on that grade. I hear the 190 kit is the ticket on the LX.
