Before I pull the gas tank for no reason, is the nut for the seat pin captive or welded on?

Thanks

Well, I went to pull the pin, and it soon became apparent mine has become un-welded.

I seem to vaguely remember it being that way when I had it all torn down. Probably why I was uncertain.

Looks like I'll be pulling the tank again tonight. I just had the damn thing out last weekend.

Mine isn't welded. Gotta lift the tank a little, reach in there and hold it to get the threads started. Then it will catch on the frame so you can tighten down the pin.

no need to completely disconnect the tank, just pull it out enough to turn it slightly sideways and rest it on the frame. I put a towel underneath to protect the paint.
