The primary reason for my choice of the PM Tuning is the confirmed power increase. The proper tuned length of the header pipe really helps with the mid range power as well. I'm more of a function over form kind of guy... but the Remus, Akra, and Malossi pipes all look nice.

I was never a fan of the Leo Vince vintage exhaust, the 4Road looks ok, but the sound is not exactly my cup o' tea.

Nice. Looks awesome. Whats the model number of the Remus, and how much did they charge you, if you don't mind my asking...

Also, I've heard some of the aftermarket exhausts hit the Vespa-brand rear crash bars if you ride two-up. Any idea of the Akra or Remus do this? How about the Leo Vince 4Road?

Thanks...

What was the cost on it? I'm curious about the cost of the various pipes.

I'm curious, what didn't you like about the sound of the Leo Vince 4Road? (I don't have one, I'm still running stock. I'm just trying to get data on what they all sound like before deciding on one).

Thanks!

Why has nobody yet mentioned Jettin's exhausts. They look the 'dogs bollocks' unlike anything else on the market and they come in a range of colours and they are cheaper than most others too. I am saving up my pennies...

How have you been getting on with this one?

I've seen them advertised for £220 in the UK which is a great price for such good looks too! 8)

But why didn't set the mount to be roughly horizontal to the road line, rather than dipping it so the exhaust looks like its about to fall off?!

Can anyone please tell me if it's possible to fit the same seat from a gtv 300ie (as in the image below) on to a gts 300?. I think this is a lovely looking seat.

Some good info here but the post is becoming a bit stale. Now that we're in 2017 has anything changed as far as newer products coming to market or improvements to the exhausts already mentioned here?

I plan on purchasing an exhaust next week and would appreciate some advice even if the advice is that the information in here is all still absolutely relevant. This is for a 2017 GTV 300.

Thank you in advance for any input I may get.

Thanks, looks nice but only see the one dealer in Canada way out west. They also seems to be very cage centric at this place.

I'm probably looking at the Racing Exhaust AKRAPOVIC "SLIP

-ON" . Also need to decide if I want black or stainless steel.

I honestly don't expect a huge performance boost but that plus a louder horn would make me feel safer driving in downtown Toronto traffic.

I've had the Black Widow Vespa 300 on my ebay watch list for a long time. Even with UK to USA shipping they are reasonable compared to Remus or Ackrapovic price points as I've seen for MC's not scooters.
There are length & Db noise level choices that affect the price for Black Widow s lineup with I think 3 or 4 choices for my scooter.
Surely some of the MV British riders have owned or been around the brand?
What say you guys on the island?

Based on UK prices they certainly are a fair bit cheaper than a Remus for instance. To be honest though I don't really like the shape and size of the can. I don't know any UK peeps who have one so can't comment on quality etc.

How do you know?
I'm with Turkman. Arguably the best answer to the question is to stay stock. The OEM muffler is durable and is well matched to the engine from a performance and efficiency standpoint. How do we know? Thousands of riders on this site and elsewhere with many miles of experience running the OEM muffler.

Back to aftermarket exhausts-
I have my OE exhaust off as we speak and new tires mounted. My scoot has 3900 miles and while I had the exhaust off, I cleaned it up(some minor surface rust and discoloration and repainted the black with heat paint.
W/O the short cylinder connection or lamda it weights 13#8oz for the one piece.
Must be some serious innards "in there"?
Yes, I'm still on that "make it sound better, not louder, kick" from couple years back. I sold my motorcycle and now a FT Vespa rider with farkles weighing heavily on my small mind.
The Black Arrow system from UK is on backorder for 3-4 weeks so I can turn back to why do more experienced Vespa riders say stay away from aftermarket exhausts? I'm a wrencher and interested in specifics not broad statements , r.e., you'll be wise to not use them. I have no interest in loud pipes, mufflers that need repacked often or rot out stuff, but the Black Arrow looks to be a solid item. My only interest is the SS 300mm or 400mm system.

The Termignoni appears to be new to market and looks really good.

Speaking of Termignoni. What is that logo supposed to represent? It kind of looks like a bull with horns wearing a Beret. lol

I took a look-says nothing about sound level, mostly that it's SS, painted black and low restriction. Go too low and can need to change mapping?
It weighs a bit over half the OE system and calls it a slip-on so that means what? What pipe does it connect to, etc.?
