So I'm putting in Dr.Pulley sliders in this week, and I got to thinking about the expected useful life of them. Of course they will last longer than OEM, if installed properly Razz emoticon . Also since the belts can be useful past the manufacturers recommended 6k, I figure the sliders should be fairly long.
BUT, since I've never had them in before, I would like to know from those of you who have been using them for some time now. Just to be informative about my driving style, I'm not a 'WOT always' kind of guy. Much

Been riding with my DrP now for approx. 13 000 miles and they are still in perfect condition!

Just did my 30 000 km ( 18 600 miles ) service last weekend, and the DrP will be in for another 10 000 km.
But then I am only on a 250 LT, which is "half" the engine to a 500, but still....

The Pulleys are just excellent!!!!

I have been changing my DPs every other belt change, and judging by the condition of the old sliders at change time, even that interval might be conservative.

Mine just came in today. Three days from order to home, nice! There is a rubber side and one side that shows the copper bushing. Do these install with the flat side down, pointy side towards the center, and the rounded end to the outside of the holder?

Basically (in ascii)

Yes. You should see a groove across all the sliders when they are in their correct orientation.
