Went to look at a car storage warehouse and next door were these, tucked behind some classic collectables.

Zundapp Bella III, GS150, Douglas, 2xLD Lammys. Couldn't get close enough to see more. Interesting. Learned today he also has another GS150, a '56 LDA (e-start) Lammy and a '05 cherry ET4-150 with 383 miles on it. There was also a '72 Norton Commando 750.

Whadda ya think? Package deal, $12,000-15,000?

Wow thats incredible. Any idea on the year of the Douglas and GS?

12,000 sounds fair to me. You wouldn't have any trouble getting your money back. I saw an early Douglas in fair condition fetch $5000 on Ebay last year.

so, what?, nine very desirable machines @ ~1500ea - yeah, I'd say you'd keep nicely busy for a while with those. Lovely original hoard! Wha? emoticon

but you're probably just teasing us, you won't do it... (scurries to google all 'car storage warehouses' near Half Moon Bay )

Fantastic!

I'd have a heart attack if I found even one of those around here, let alone a whole garage full.

Please do make that offer. There are a few bikes we will buy from you from that stash, if you are willing to part with them.

Think of such a purchase as preservation. You can sell them to people you know will take care of them and keep the ones you will care for.

It's a win-win.

Thats fuckin gas. I overhear this lad in his 50's or so giving out about a lammy cutdown being a ruined classic. So his mate says:
'you had a cutdown didnt you?'
The guys reply was classic stuff,
'ah yeah, but sure that was the 80's'

Red appears to be a NSU Prima D, not a Lambretta LD.

Williams,

Never seen one with NSU type panel flashes or the NSU type headlight bezel. Also, what is going on with the dual saddle seats?

Any chance you can point me to that model of Bella?

Dang, looks like a NSU Prima to me from that ad!

Dunno where I got Zundap Bella III from then. Well, it was dark and I couldn't get close enough and the dog ate my homework.

Sorry. That'll teach me to not venture out of the Vespa pool.

The guy hasn't answered my email asking if he would take a package offer.

Waiting.

Awesome find!

BTW, the dog ate my homework doesn't cut it any more. Now teenagers either say their printer isn't working (still pretty old school), or, more recently, e-mail their teacher a file that is about the right kb size but is deliberatelycorrupted to buy a bit more time to actually finish it.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
