We have the back rest on Michelle's and soon I hope to have a top case and both of our windshields on.

Nice - we have a GT125 & an LX125

How do you think the GT & LX compare to each other? Handling / comfort / fun etc...

Well, the GT feels a little more like a luxury sedan and the LX is a little like a sports coupe. I think the LX is a little more nimble and easier to "horse" around. I'm about 6 feet tall and 215 pounds and I think the GT is a little more comfortable for me. The LX fits my wife like a charm at 5'4" and 130 pounds. I think they are both just a ton of fun.

GT200 and LX150 in OK?
Hi. What nice sharp color photos of your two scooters! I wanted to ask about your LX150, as that's what I've had since 08/2005.
1. Thoughts about the backrest--can you move it forward so the single rider can use it to lean on?
2. Would you recommend the optional rack--I use the underseat cubby lots but sometimes stuff won't fit in there?
3. How about inclement weather in OK? We've had heavy rains here in Seattle for at least a few weeks, but my snowboard outfit keeps me pretty dry enroute to work--what do you folks use for really cold or wet weather riding? Den 8)

Thanks Den,

Ref 1. You can't move this back rest at all....I got it form ScooterWest.com and I do like it.

Ref 2. Yes I would recomment the rack...It was a toss up between the rack and a top case. My wife likes the way the rack looks but I do think it is very useful for additional storage.

Ref 3. We are mostly fair weather riders but I also use my snow suit for extra wind/rain protection over my jeans and coat. I also use Old Navy fleece gloves.

I have a similar looking back rack as the LX you have and am wondering does the backrest part come separate? Seems like my rack has room for a back rest. I also got my from scooterwest. Perhaps I'll ask them too. Nice looking scoots.

Hey Elvis,

On this particular back rest, yes, it did come separate and could be removed leaving the luggage rack.

Thanks,
Doug

That's a great-looking pair of scoots!

Now if I can only get my girlfriend to get one. She loves to ride on the GT with me, but she is reluctant to ride her own.

Still working on her, though.

I feel your pain Kevin,

You can't imagine how much coaxing it took me to get Michelle to see the light.
