Modern Vespa

I'm the US representative for Ace Cafe London ( www.ace-cafe-london.com ), which was home to the "Rockers" back in the Mods and Rockers days.

In celebration of the Legend of the Motorcycle event ( www.legendofthemotorcycle.com ) at the Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay (May 4-6), we're hosting a two-day "Ride with the Rockers" ride from Los Angeles to HMB.

On the first night of this ride (May 3rd), we're stopping in San Luis Obispo and having a "Mods-n-Rockers" get together. We've book Downtown Brew, blocked off Garden street, have a band coming, prizes, etc., and we'd love for anyone who reads this to join us.

Currently the guys at Vespa of Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo have all been great in helping us get the word out. If anyone here is interested, I can mail them postcards and posters on the event.

Mike from Vespa Club Los Gatos here. Rolf Soltau said a few of you were heading to the Concourse in Half Moon Bay. I hope you can stop by in Campbell on the evening of May 4. We're having a meet and greet at Khartoum's bar in Campbell as the first night of our Classico Moto Italia Rally.

If you don't want to pay $50 to get into the Concourse, stay in the valley and ride and play! On Sat. we've got an evening dinner with band in addition to the usual day show and gymkhana.
