..and wow do I suck putting on fitted covers. I had a Nelson Riggs before and it was kinda like a big drape and didn't fit the GT particularly well.

This I can see doing better in high wind situations since the cover conforms more to the shape of the vehicle than the nelson riggs, because of the windscreen and topcase flaps.

Cool stuff though. I like it so far. I was almost worried it wouldn't have eyelets large enough for my chain lock (since people steal covers out here in SF), but it does.

Glad to hear the cover works for you! I have a Nelson Rigg, and know what you mean. It does the job but really does not form fit. I would really like to see a picture of your scooter with the new cover on it. My nelson Rigg got a hole in it and I do not think that they will cover it under warranty, Beale.

Congrats on the new cover. Still make sure it's on good a big wind can still knock it over. I'm not familar with the SX line. I have a 2 car garage under my condo that's open except for an area that has a built in shed and the wall seperating me from my neighbor. When we have high winds i corral the scoots in that corner and block it further with my car. That leaves only one side open. I then take the covers off. Had a scoot go down once with the cover on and it was form fitted. I hate high wind and rain. We had a big storm last nite. I just had to do what just said after i got home from going out to dinner.

Certainly a covered scoot will blow over just like any other scoot... my Nelson Riggs was definitely a sail though, and that added to how easily it was affected by the wind.

I wish I had a parking spot. I kinda do - but it's 3 miles from my place. It's a parking garage at my grandmother's house, where I store my second bike when I'm not using it (a Honda 599 - I swap the bikes out about once a week). Parking in SF is hard to come by so I'm lucky I have somewhere other than street parking to put the second one.

A suggestion - line the entire floor of your garage with big fluffy pillows - no more hassle for falling bikes

OZ funny you should say pillows. I had thought of those cheap blow up beds but figured i'd have to lash them down also Do you get alot of high winds where you live? Ours is mainly in the winter months. Rest of the year i don't worry.
