Has anyone switched the operation of the seat lock so it opens with the key in the "trunk" position and the trunk opens with the key button? I think it would just be a matter of switching wiring since they are both electronically activated. Where are the connections, under the body work?

Thanks in advance.

Opening the trunk with the key in the lock is a mechanical operation, no electrons involved.

I haven't looked at that change but I don't believe the locking sets are physically the same size. The seat lock only has on release mechanism lever. The trunk release has a dual lever release for both cables.

Wha? Why would the trunk release be dual? They don't both open when you open the trunk...

Note the OP has a 250. The early250s had only 1 remote button on the key that opens the seat. The only way to open trunk is mechanically with the key in the ignition.

How right you are. I should look at the OP's listing more carefully. Thanks Fuzzy.

From what I gather, the seat is electronically unlocked, but the trunk has a cable from the ignition switch to the latch. If that's the case my idea won't work. Thanks for the replies.

I plan on moving the wiring from the trunk servo to the servo in my Givi E55. So the stock key opens the seat and the Givi. The stock trunk will still have the key release
