I have tightened my parking brake several times following the method I found here. I find that it is now loose again after a few rides. Is there a problem with my cable? or perhaps I am doing something wrong.

I loosen the lower nut tighten the upper nut until the wheel doesn't move and then re-tighten the lower nut. I usually find the lower nut quite loose when I go to re-tighten. I am not far from my next service but I wonder if anyone has any ideas?

that adjustment is for a little cable stretch not for adjusting how the pads hold.
