As can be seen in my avatar, my GTS reached 20.000 kilometers (12.427 miles) yesterday riding home from work. This is exactly one year since I bought it, and the third Vespa that I have ridden for this number of kilometers in as many years.

The first two were bought used, and sold shortly after one years ownership. The GTS will most likely experience both 40.000 and 60.000 during my ownership because it will be two more years before it is paid off.

Apart from a leaking coolant hose (not yet fixed), a muffler gasket, a front lightbulb, two front and three rear tires, there has been no problems. But it definitely lost its newness. A few scratches from my crash, a couple of screws under the floorboards, rattling sounds from where the screws should have been.

wow! you need to see how far you can go without major repairs and then get Vespa to sponsor you a new one Razz emoticon

It could go something like this:

"Listen, I've put more miles on 3 vespas than most people put on a car in the same amount of time. Your scoots are expensive but worth it. Help a guy out?"

Thank you. I have a 35 kilometer commute each way and no car, so kilometers add up quickly. I do not think Vespa will be interested, many people ride a lot more each year.

I hope to keep on to this one, even after it's paid. But if Vespa decides to make a 500 cc. I will be very tempted.
