I am looking for people in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond wanting to go to Port Dover Ontario on July 13th 2007. This is normally a motorcycle venue that is held every Friday the 13 of every year. I have attended many of these events on my Harley but this year I am wanting to go on a scooter.

The newer version of Mods invade the Rockers type scenario.

There are 2 Friday the 13ths this year.. the first one being in April, the second being in July. I have chosen to hold the ride for the July 13th event.

For those interested in going please feel free to add your name to the list here. The ride I am organizing will be for scooter riders of all makes and engine sizes.. YES 50cc owners I am including YOU.

Here is the link to the Port Dover event to inform you of what goes on...

I would like to get an idea of who wants to go so I can arrange a route, meeting places for not only the start of the ride but places we can meet up to pick up people along the way.

How long a ride would Port Dover be, forgive my ignorance of my own home province. Someone mentioned yesterday that scooterists need to have thick skin to attend this "rally", I'm not sure my skin is thick enough. Laughing emoticon

Benny

The ride could take 3 to 3 1/2 hours from Motoretta in the beach... That is assuming that you can keep up to the 50cc people .. just kidding... as far as being thick skinned.. don't sweat the small stuff... don't believe anything that some people say .. it is all a pack of lies... there is alot to do and see there.. I have attended many of these rallies on my Harley and now wanting to show up on a scooter, I want to do something out of the norm of the usual folks that show up.. I am so looking forward to riding in on my MP3 when I am able to pick it up

Showing up with a group of scooter folks would make it even more of an adventure.. believe me the best part of this one day rally is looking at all the custom bikes that are parked on the main streets of Port Dover.

Ben don't feel like it is a scary type of thing to attend.. as of right now I am just on a fact finding mission to see who would be interested in riding out to Port Dover, hence posting this early in the year. I will add more details and finalize all the required information when I have a good idea of all the people that want to go..besides there is alot of nice scenery along the proposed routes that I have in mind to get to Port Dover...

OK, I know... this is an old thread.

We have a cottage we rent every summer in Port Dover a short walk to downtown. This will be the first year I bring my Vespa. So 2 things... I don't mind the highway buts there a nice scenic route from Toronto?

We won't be there on a Friday the 13th and even then I wouldn't worry too much. My experience with Harley riders and the like has always been pretty positive. It really is all about attitude and we ride beautiful bikes which they respect for the most part. Not so sure I'd show up on a 50 CC Buddy on the 13th but even then I doubt it would be a problem.
