Not sure about the legality of this in all places, but I'm considering buying this bike device for night scootering to increase my visibility.

I think, im not 100% but I think that they are illegal in the uk, something to do with distracting other drivers or some such. I've only seen one car with them and he had been pulled over by police. (not sure if it was related)

Very low light ones might be acceptable I suppose, maybe in the different cavities of the bike?

Yep, in the UK you are restricted to what colour lights you can have showing - only red at the rear, white at the front, orange indicators and so on.

Any of these kind of neons would be illegal, though plenty of people do use them for styling rather than any safety reasons.

Yes, it is a rechargeable battery. I'm sure based on what they show on the site it could be rigged up to recharge by plugging into the scoot elecrtical system.

Though I have seen them on cars, I too believe they aren't road-legal (in Florida anyway. This kind of thing often varies by state) -- good for shows and meets, but not driving the streets.

Ah, it's for styling. I thought they were using them to say "Look at me in my 'souped up' Corsa" Laughing emoticon
