Kit includes 3 factory bungee cords and 3 factory towels. A lack of caution not included...

I have used this "system" twice over the past weekend and has worked rather well. The main difference is that you sit up on top of the board, causing you to ride about 4" higher, so this isn't recommended for the vertically challenged or the sane, but perfect for tall, insane people! It has been extremely stable at speeds of 50-55mph, but it and I are much happier cruising at 35-40mph for obvious reasons.

You thought riding a Vespa drew a lot of attention your way? Try driving past someone with a surfboard hanging off the back..... I guess it increases visibility- see, it's actually a safety device!!!!

Rolling the dice,

filtering. it sounds too nice. almost politically correct. anyhow, queue busting sound a little better considering us brits are renowned for queuing for everything. if theres a queue theres something good at the end!

From descriptions, it sounds like there might be subtle (and largely semantic) differences between what we call "lane splitting" and what you call "filtering". Instead of supposing that I have any idea of what "filtering" really means, though, I'll simply tell you that to me, lane splitting means riding for a prolonged distance right on the dividing line between lanes and between cars. Alternately, it can mean riding up the space between lines of cars stopped at a light to get to the front, and then zipping off very fast when the light goes green.

Is filtering any different? Is it more back-and-forth across the line, jumping into open spots in one lane or the other? Or is it, as I describe above, a prolonged ride straight up the dividing line?

He adapted a surf rack made for an Elite80 to fit his crashbars. It sits on the side of the scoot. The racks are welded to the crashbar set.

You're confusing them with us Canadians.
Whilst they're surfing Traffic on their vespa Boards, we Ride thru the woods with grizzlies on our seats.

( not to be confused with the florididians, who prefer Gators.)

I've made several surfboards, the latest a 9'-3".

Living so far inland I have often thought about adapting some sort of board rack to the Vespa. Great smilage, and allowed to ride in the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lane.

Cleveland's not California or Hawaii but you can actually surf here! (A lot of sailboarding too.)

The bears and panthers left here about 70 years ago. The fiercest animals we have here now are coyote and fox (and the occasional large, feral housecat ).

I'm pretty certain I'd seen a photo on ModernBuddy of an Asian BuBu (Buddy) or GMax (Blur) with a custom mount on the side of the scoot for a surfboard or snowboard. Of course now I can't find it...

I'd be interested in a side rack if I could have one that wasn't a permanently welded-on appendage.

Then I could take out my 29 foot board (9 meters) and give everyone board envy. You should see the mob of girls that run over to help me wax up that barge....

There are a lot of surfers in New York City.

Most of them surf on Long Island or go to New Jersey.

Thanks Judy.

Salty Dawn, and I are going to be in your neck of the woods over the 4th of July week.

Our 25th wedding anniversary is June 26, so we'll be there on Maui for two weeks.

I'm thinking I can come up with something that will mount where the under seat handles are on the GT200.
