Hollybry suggested I post this for your viewing pleasure. Sadly just "another day at the office" for many of us.

Just a day in the life man. Happens every single time I make the left at Fair Oaks onto Watt, unless by some miracle there is no one waiting to turn.

They don't realize the scooter is "that quick", assuming they see you at all.

This is something people "new to scootering" should watch and learn from.
Blackburg wears a HiVis Jacket, has 4 headlights on his scoot, and still had someone do this to him.
Everyone be on your toes!

I assume every cager will do this. It happens often to me and this awareness has even made me equally aware of that in my pickup truck. I approach every intersection, no matter what I'm riding or driving with extreme distrust of other drivers. Driving is secondary to other tasks like texting atleast here. I even saw people texting on thier scooters in Taiwan on my last visit. Be careful out there.

A good reason to be in the left lane for a double lane turn. What usually happend to me when I made a turn like that was the driver in the left lane would cut/drift over into the right lane where I was.

Yep, I see the "drift" all the time at the intersection leaving our subdivision, whether on bike or in cage. Unfortunately you have to be in the right lane to get to the Xway entrance ramp which is only a half block away - that's why a lot of the drifters do so, they suddenly realize they need to be in the right lane and here they come. I'm always ready for it and actually it's easier to avoid them on the bike. When I'm in the right lane in a double left lane turn I make it a point to start out quickly so the potential drifters see me a half car length ahead and to their right.

PS.

This is why I never, ever filter to the front of a turn lane. Getting the distance I need to pick a lane is hard if some bastard is turning against the red.

I always expect the other drivers around me to come into my lane, not see me, etc. I found that I actually drive slower in my car than on the scooter because I am constantly speeding up and moving around to get away from people, or to get out of their blind spot. Some people just don't give a shit and try to muscle their way into me.

Sometimes it feels like I'm playing a twisted version of frogger extreme.
