I wonder if the Oberons would give you a better sense of your "actual size". When I split I'm alway imagining my mirrors smacking the mirror of an SUV or full size truck. But with the Oberons you could rest your hands towards the outside of the grips and then all you'd need to remember if that if your hands/grips can slip through, mentally add 3-4 inches and the rest of you should fit through as well.

Just a thought. I'll have to try M@'s out and see how they work

for me, mirrors smacking cars has everything to do with the height of the car. I know how big I am but how meaningful that size is depends on the height of those obstructions - like SUVs all have really tall mirrors. So really it's a matter of realizing how "tall" I am

does anyone knows what s the weight of the oberon bar end mirrors?the stock bar ends are about 270gr. each.if the oberon are lighter is gonna be a problem so if you know answer.thanks. 8)

dont know the weight but with thwe jettin bar end weights and oberon mirrors the front wabble was so bad i went back to stock thus wasting about £50

All Alloy Jettin alloy Barends weigh 4oz.
4 ounces = 113.398093 grams

The Steel "Barbell" Barends weigh 15oz.
15 ounces = 425.242847 grams

No. In your case, maybe. But there are many, many causes of wobble. If proper inflation fixed it for everyone, there wouldn't be nearly as much bitching about it.

true, mine went away with a 130 Avon tire and over inflation of 2 psi. not 100% but much better than what I had. I also removed topcase/ top box
and I have Jettin 15oz Bar ends not for wobble I changed my mirrors to lane splitters.

I have been wanting to shorten my OEM mirrors so that I don't get so close when lane splitting is necessary. It seems like having the mirrors at the bars ends would make looking at the mirrors more difficult when you need to.

I just fitted those to my GTS (i had them on my LX)

First of all, you have to cut the small piece at the "inner" side because it won't fit in the handlebars.
When that's done, there is still an ugly spacing between the grip and bar-ends of about 5 mm (+- 0,2 inch).

The original bar-end are cut out so the handlebar fits in the bar-end.
With the Oberons it's the opposite.

Also they are made from alu and a lot lighter than the original bar-ends.
