For those of you who like doing business on the internet, I have another source for extra GTS 250 key, and it doesn't require that you let your expensive Red key get out of your possession.

I just had an extra key made by a San Francisco locksmith named Brook Francisco. What he requires is that you send him your "Blue" key. He will cut a duplicate, clone the duplicate with your blue key, then send both back to you. The cost is $40. (brookfrancisco@yahoo.com) I found him because he sells Vespa blanks on Ebay for $30. He added the cutting and cloneing for an extra $10, and said he's do the same for others.

I don't know him and I am unable to guarantee anything other than to state he just did a nice professional job for me.

Have you had any probs with the key? Thanks for the heads up. Never know when your going to need a key.

No problems at all. In fact, I prefer to carrry it because it's a bit smaller than the standard issue blue key.

I had two keys cloned for my ET4 from him. I had my keys within 4 business days including shipping to and from him. They work great! I never got a red key when I bought my theft recovery scooter.

By "cloning the key" you mean he puts the same ID in the duplicate key as in your original blue key? That's pretty slick! Good for those people who never got a red key.

Although be advised that if he was unscrupulous he could secretly clone a third key, and since he knows your address (he emailed you back the keys, right?) then he could drop by or send a friend over and...

Yes, he clones the code. I'm not worrying about theft. He's in CA and I'm in MD and I had the key sent to my work address. He is a locksmith by trade. I forget the name of the company though.
