Modern Vespa

Just took my eldest daughter on the GT for the first time. Nice quiet Saturday afternoon on the roads, scooted around a few local back streets. She was great on the back but it won't be a regular thing...she's just too precious.

Very cute! Only my oldest has ridden with me. She was 20 at the time. I told my 5 yr old that she can ride with me when she's 13 and wears full gear.

i used to drive my daugther up and down the street on my ch80 when she was 2.

My favorite part was when mom said "Hold onto daddy" in that tone =Im worried and trying to play it cool= just before you took off. that sounded JUST like my wife!

My dad had a indian motorcycle before judy as my mom would say So when i got about 11 he bought me a mini-bike. This was my mom when we brought it home Only took one spill. They told me to lean into the turns. Well i leaned a bit to much. Got launched over a low stone wall fence. Grass on both sides didn't get hurt. Learned real quick never to do that again. Great video. Thanks for sharing

Thank you St J.Ex-Vespa,sadly.I sold it about 2 years ago.I believe it's in NZ now,so Boulty might have seen it. But the lights live on,and are riding around on someone's scooter who was getting into the moddy look,just as I was getting out of it...

Some new pictures of my old ET4..

My 9 year old has been riding with me since I got it. Hundreds of miles! She loves it. That's why I finally got the top case. It is a pseudo kid-keeper.

I rode with my dad when I was about 1-1/2 years old. My protective gear was a diaper. (I know, y'all have seen this before...)

Our boyz (ages 6 and 10) have been riding with us since we got our first scoot 2 years ago. They love it.

We are very careful about it though. Helmets are a must for everybody. As are long pants and sturdy shoes. I've gotten both the boyz armoured jackets. I just found some really small womens sizes and they work great and look alot better than alien looking, motocross jackets that are made for youth.

Dh has a topcase on his Fly and I have the chrome rear rack/backrest combo so I don't have a fear of them falling off the back.

Then I also got two of these belt like things from www.denniskirk.com.
The driver wears them around their waist and it has handles on it the rider can hang on to.

We stick to small, simple rides near home, around the lakes and parkways or something. We don't go maybe more than 20 minutes without taking a rest stop.
