well the weekend of 5/11 had me riding from western Pa down thru MD, Wva and into Va to head to the Dogwood Classic...put on by the fine folks from Richmond.....
the weekend went great...ride down and back was very nice.....did notice I crapped another stud on the way down..oh well Leo VInce here I come, hopefully you'll help!

managed to ride the length of SKyline all the way down and back up over the weekend.....did the upper 66 miles on fri down.
rode with Scutrbrau (Rick) the bottom 40-ish miles, saw him off home....(*glad to meet ya!) turned around then headed back up the 40+ miles back to the rally.....on Sat rode the upper portion again, so I have ridden it all the way down and back up....

Skyline rocks!

totally worth the $10...altho if it were real busy, might suck...speed limit is 35...I got behind a group of HD's on the way down and clipped along at 55 or so...loads of pull offs to get some pics....

next time down thru will try to get on BRP as well.....

here a quick vid of part the ride, thru Mary's Tunnel....my 10 yo daughter and I looked it up on wiki before I left, so I thought I would shoot a quick vid when I was there.....

also give you and idea on the road and curves....

Because you used the shortcut URL - you have to go to it yourself and then copy'n'paste the full URL.

I've ridden the Blue Ridge, but never the Skyline Drive north of it, which is weird because it's much closer to where I live.

Looks like a great ride. 8)

It's on my list.
