Just a short not about custom dust caps on a GTS with a PM pipe be careful and make sure they dont fowl becouse we had a rear tyre blow out on the M6 and it was the dust cap that released the tyre valve 60 MPH trying to get to the hard shoulder is no fun plus a wrecked custom scooter

I fitted these to my car over 15 years ago - they severely affected the rate at which air was retained in the tyre - I ditched them very quick and have never used them since. They are no substitute for regularly testing the pressures.

I once owned a car with metal vlave caps and they fused to the valve stem with all the road muck and salt one winter. When I removed tham they wouldn't come off and I eventually accidentally broke the whole valve stem off. I stick with standard plastic now.

I assumed the thread was about the ones that warn of low pressure, but maybe it was just warning about all custom caps.

The Mrs has the Union Jack caps on her Mini - goes well with the UJ on the roof

They came from Mini and have not been any trouble......

I put metal air valve caps with a little rubber gaskets inside on my tires last summer and have had no problems. They also seem to do a little better job keeping the air inside.

I will keep an eye on them based on the posts, Thx.
