Tools Required
If you don't already have an image file of your map you can use web app like http://www.epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/ (Use the smallest map size since this is going in your signature)

Procedure
Upload
Upload the picture to an MV thread. This one is here just for that purpose. Adding 'Scooted map' to profile
1. Just click the "Post Reply" button, write the word "Test" (or some other word) in the text area.
2. Then click on the "Choose File" button in the "Add an Attachment" area and navigate to your locally saved picture. Select your picture then click "Open" or "Save" or whatever the prompt button is on your particular system.
3. Now click on the "Submit" button. Your picture will post to the thread. (Note this how you upload pictures to any thread).
Get Image URL
Now you need the image location of the map you just uploaded to paste into your signature under your profile. You can get this on some browsers by right clicking and choosing the save picture url option. If you don't know how to get an image Url with your browser google is your friend.
Add the image to your signature
Go to your profile and click in your signature area. Now type this exactly.
Scroll to the bottom of your profile page and click on "Submit".
Your map should now show in your signature.

Except of course it will be your Url and not mine.Scroll to the bottom of your profile page and click on "Submit".
Your map should now show in your signature.
